Ashley's Heart was able to give me less to worry about while my child was in recovery.  She was
at a residential treatment center over 4 hours away, over the holidays.  Our life felt like a
whirlwind.  I felt like I barely keep up, work, holiday, and child in treatment.  I was not going to let
anything stop me from making the trip there for weekly visit.  Some weeks were even drive there
in the morning, visit for our alloted 3 hours, and drive straight back home to be able to work the
next day.  It was important to me to make all those visits to show my support in recovery and
how much I love her.  It was important for her to not feel cut off from her family.  With Ashley's
Hearts assistance, I did not have to worry about gas money for all those trips.  It was a relief
that may not seem to be much but was huge for me. I work two jobs to make ends meet and
new this was going to be hard.    With the assistance of Ashley's Heart we were able to focus on
the recovery aspect and have one less thing to worry about.  It was a blessing for our family. My
daughter is home, doing amazing and in follow up treatment.

Ashley’s Heart for Recovery lifted us during one of our darkest times. Their kindness gave us
hope and made it possible to travel to be with our girl. That support eased our financial worries
and allowed us to focus on what mattered most—being present for her and her recovery. We

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the travel grant. It came at a time when it was truly
needed. I was able to use it as I prepared for the transition of moving my daughter from one
treatment center to a higher level of care in another state. Your generosity helped ease some of
the financial burden during what has been a very challenging time for our family, and I am
deeply grateful for your kindness and support.

I received the travel grant and I’m so thankful for this gift. It’s been very expensive and a
stressful journey and this just makes it feel like someone hears you and understands.

of us, but I see hope at the other end of the tunnel with all the support we have received from
our daughter’s treatment treat, friends, other family facing similar challenges and people like
you! Definitely this support will help us financially and help our daughter psychologically by
knowing that she is being cared and supported even by strangers.

Assistance from Ashley’s Heart for Recovery has helped us greatly with travel expenses. We
live in Alaska where we have no treatment options and have to travel to and from the treatment
center where my daughter is. Ashley’s Heart has helped to ease some of the financial burden
when we have so much to worry about and our daughter so far away. Thank you Ashley’s Heart
